To develop students’ understanding and integration of the structural, construction, core, servicing, transport systems, and legislative requirements for the design of multistorey buildings.
Students will develop knowledge in multistorey building principles including introduction to typologies, structural, and construction systems and methodologies, façade and cladding systems, and the integration of architecture with structure and services, core, and vertical transport systems. Students will develop skills in the application of construction knowledge and legislative requirements informing the design and construction of multistorey buildings and their communication through construction drawings and detailing.
