To develop the student’s ability for autonomous professional social work practice and to strengthen strategies for continuing professional identity and development.
Professional judgment in a changing context; contemporary ethical issues and their implications for social work; ; ethical decision making models; evaluation framework for critiquing social work practice at an individual, organisational, professional and societal level; the interplay between social work knowledge and professional social work identity; reflection and evaluation of one's own practice; vicarious traumatisation and self protection; maximising professional and peer supervision; managing workload; marketing oneself - preparation for social work employment; job application/curriculum vitae/developing a social work portfolio; preparation for job interviews; entering the profession and the role of professional associations.
