Course aim

To provide students with advanced theoretical and technical knowledge in a range of principles, skills and techniques required for management of projects throughout a generic project life cycle.

Course content

Students will study a broad set of inter-related theoretical concepts and practical processes across a generic project lifecycle, including: PMBOK® Guide project management processes, ISO 21500 ‘Guidance on project management’ and PRINCE2 methodology; project management history; project management systems and generic concepts; project processes and techniques; process integration; project environments; human skills; and the role of the project manager.
