Course aim

To introduce students to the theoretical issues relating to the publication and design of visuals and text for print, digital and social media. Students will identify, explain and discuss these issues in relation to different genre. 

Course content

Students will develop knowledge of rhetorical theories of form in relation to function and content. How language theory relates to context, content, and meaning is also explored. Students will also develop an understanding of the interrelationship between  different genre and its target audience.  Students will be introduced to researching current issues in publishing relating to form and function for print, digital and social media.
