To develop students' proficiency in spoken and written Italian at an intermediate level.
Vocabulary, structures and texts related to a range of linguistic situations, themes and topics developing accuracy, flexibility and fluency; intercultural knowledge integral to the range of situations and tasks covered in class and through the Italian community participation program; representations of identity, place, gender and public institutions through a selection of twentieth century Italian narrative and film.
