To extend students' proficiency in spoken and written Italian at a developed level and introduce a critical study of Italian literary texts and their relevance to intercultural contexts.
Students in this course will interact with vocabulary and structures related to a range of text types, themes and topics at a developed level. Students will further develop grammatical concepts and socio-cultural knowledge with a focus on language in use. Students will also reflect on contemporary Italian culture and society with a focus on Italian immigration and explore the intercultural aspects of cultural representations drawn from a selection of modern Italian texts.
