To advance students’ knowledge of current models of practice, interventions and evaluation approaches in relation to interpersonal violence and abuse.
Theories, definitions and understandings of interpersonal violence including domestic violence, childhood sexual abuse, workplace violence and violence in schools; impact of interpersonal violence and abuse on those affected; help seeking, gendered identities and violence; models of practice with perpetrators and survivors of violence and abuse; responding to disclosures of abuse; global responses to violence against women; working in culturally responsive ways; vicarious traumatisation; models of service organisation and evaluating interventions.
