To enable students to investigate the process of curriculum development in Health and Physical Education (HPE) with a focus on professional collaboration to design and teach coherent, integrated study programs that feature the application of curriculum frameworks and embedding learning for cross curricular capabilities and equity perspectives.
Students will develop the principles and process of curriculum design in HPE, collaborative planning for integration and cross curriculum learning. The students will map curriculum experiences and authentic assessment strategies, leadership in implementation and teaching for multiple perspectives, for application in contemporary curriculum frameworks. The students will plan a rationale and advocacy strategy for learning through camps as an integral part of the curriculum, and will develop teaching capabilities and engage in critical professional reflection of issues in leadership for managing, teaching and evaluating integrated curriculum experiences.
