The aim of this course is to develop the student’s ability to plan, prepare, present and evaluate effective learning experiences through assessment of the needs of the learner, analysis of content and critical reflection of issues impacting on the learning setting.
Planning frameworks for sequencing learning and constructing units; models of teaching and learning – issues of equity and critical pedagogies; identifying diverse needs of learners and constraints of learning contexts; constructing meaningful learning situations; alignment of student outcomes, selection of learning episodes, authentic assessment strategies; senior secondary assessment; behaviour management; critical and technical reflection of teaching and learning.
