To develop knowledge of appropriate educational policy, curriculum planning and resourcing, multiliteracies in the arts; new technologies, ‘best’ contemporary arts practice, authentic evaluation, assessment and reporting.
Deconstruction of theories and policies relevant to arts teaching; application of prior knowledge to practical contexts; exploration of contemporary theory and practices appropriate to the delivery and evaluation of teaching and learning, curriculum and content, student outcomes in the context of middle and secondary schooling arts education; the meaning of, and strategies for enhancing, multiliteracies in the arts; further development of arts teaching and learning strategies using ICT and the Internet.
