To interpret and relate the Acts, Regulations, Codes and Australian Standards pertaining to Building, Planning and Environmental controls and their application to development and to the practice of building surveying and planning.
The Development Act, the Building Code of Australia volume 1, building approval system, certification plan checking. Statutory obligations of Local Government and private industry. Details analysis and interpretation of the BCA and Australian Standards, Case Studies, Referee hearings, planning appeals, enforcements, court proceedings and the role of Unions. Simulated appeal/referees hearing.
