To extend the students’ knowledge of the scheduling and planning of building projects. This includes breaking down a project into activities, selecting an appropriate scheduling method, carrying out the scheduling and predicting the project cash flow.
The planning and scheduling of simple construction operations using flow charts, network analysis, Gantt charts, Critical Path Method, precedence diagrams, PERT, resource optimisation, decision theory and risk analysis. Computerised scheduling packages. Project management standards and scheduling. Introduction to 4D BIM.
