To consolidate students’ proficiency in spoken and written Japanese, according to their previous language learning experience, extend their knowledge of Japanese culture and society and enhance their intercultural understanding.
Vocabulary, structures and texts related to a range of linguistic situations, themes and topics further developing accuracy, flexibility and fluency; cultural and intercultural concepts and knowledge integral to the range of situations and tasks covered; Japanese values, assumptions and way of life, and norms of interaction; a negotiated project on recent Japanese culture and society with a focus on interculturality.
