Course aim

To develop students’ proficiency in spoken and written Japanese at an intermediate level.

Course content

Vocabulary, structures and texts related to a range of themes developing accuracy, complexity and fluency; strategies for effective spoken and written communication; intercultural knowledge integral to the range of situations and tasks covered in class; a negotiated project on recent Japanese culture and society with a focus on interculturality.
