To enable students to examine and apply complex understanding of Public Relations theory as well as assess Public Relations practice and its effects in contemporary society through issues and case study analysis and practice based problem solving.
Students will develop an understanding on Public relations theories and practice; analysis of the role and practice of Public Relations in critical areas of practice. Specifically media management, issues management, event management, and crisis management. Students will use both new and traditional media in contemporary public relations practice; the integration of public relations with marketing and advertising; and the importance and application of sophisticated use of language and visual communication in contemporary public relations practice.
