To provide an overview of models of curriculum in Early Childhood Education.
This course is organised into three sequenced learning modules. In module 1 the student critically reflects on a range of ECE curriculum models. In module 2, curriculum models provide frameworks to review one of the following curriculum areas; the arts, mathematics, emergent literacy, family literacy, anti bias curriculum, cooperative learning and play. Alternatively, students may review curriculum issues to do with gender, child care, inclusivity or an issue of the student's choice. Module 3 explores models of evaluation which can be applied to curriculum investigations.
