Course aim

To foster dynamic physical education and health development that perceives the child from a socially-focused progressively self-regulating and competent perspective.

Course content

Components of appropriate curriculum practice and instructional play-based innovations facilitating emergent competencies and self management through active involvement, observation and modelling; constructing learning environments with specific outcomes (adaptive to needs, interests and capacities); facilitation of collaborative choices through problem-finding, problem addressing and consolidation. Analysis of individual and dispositional factors, organisational contexts and constraints to facilitate teaching and learning principles adapted to particular contexts. Transforming theory into practice mapped across learner domains of disciplinary content, curriculum and assessment, contexts and settings
