Course aim

To extend students’ insight into the contexts of Junior Primary Education and to enable them to further develop their applications of curriculum knowledge, teaching and reflective practice skills

Course content

Sequential planning, implementation and evaluation of appropriate content; integration of literacy, numeracy science and technology across the junior primary curriculum; creating a positive learning environment, extending skills in behaviour management; catering for the exceptional child, curriculum planning and evaluation application of teaching skills appropriate to all areas of curriculum; parent and community participation in junior primary education.
