Course aim

Students will continue to examine critically music performance concepts and processes to further build on their music performance and production skills. They will be introduced to the history and characteristics of music from the Renaissance, Baroque and Classic periods.

Course content

Students will continue to apply performance concepts and processes to music production and performance of various genres and styles (pop, rock, jazz, world music, classical, etc.). They will continue to critically examine live and recorded music performance and will be introduced to the history and characteristics of music from the Renaissance, Baroque and Classic periods. Students will be singing and/or playing solo and in ensembles, and will participate in the production and performance of live music.
