Environment: A Human Perspective

Course aim

This course provides students with an interdisciplinary approach to understand and critically evaluate environmental problems and issues at both a local and global scale, while examining the relationship between human society and the natural environment. The course aims to promote a sense of personal responsibility towards the attainment of just and sustainable societies and to develop critical thinking skills to assist in this process.

Course content

Contemporary environmental attitudes and value systems, environmental perceptions; behaviour, introduction to social science, critical thinking; environmental research; the role of individual and society in creating sustainable futures.
