To develop students' skills in the critical evaluation of research, to familiarise students with the basic methodologies for conducting research in behavioural science, and to introduce them to a range of commonly used statistical tests.
In this course students will develop their knowledge of basic research designs and the ethics of research, and will develop their skills in the critical evaluation and summary of published research. Students will also develop skills in the selection, SPSS computation and reporting of basic descriptive and inferential statistics. They will apply these skills in the preparation of an APA style research report.
