Course aim
To develop students' knowledge of the major theories and concepts in cognitive psychology and to provide an understanding of their interdependence and relationship to human behaviour and experience.
Course content
In this course students will further develop their understanding of cognitive psychology (including sensation and perception, attention and skilled performance, short-term memory and learning, long-term memory and memory impairment, basic neuropsychology and executive functioning, language; reasoning and decision making, and social cognition). Students will apply this knowledge and their research skills in the preparation of a research report to address a real world question in cognitive psychology.
