Course aim

To develop students’ competence in comparative political analysis and critique of policy responses to social problems including international influences and national political disputation of related political and policy changes.

Course content

National and international politics and control relationships; interdisciplinary international comparative studies of national political systems; political culture, structural characteristics and dynamic relationships of political systems in selected countries; democratic and authoritarian political systems; approaches to comparative policy analysis; comparative political and policy analysis of international context and national politics in the ongoing social construction of social problems and policy responses in selected countries.
