Course overview
This professional certificate equips students with contractual and legal knowledge essential for the effective commercial management of construction projects. It is ideal for construction professionals working for client, contractor, and consultant organisations (including architects, engineers, quantity surveyors, contract administrators and construction managers) who are embarking on their careers in the construction industry, or those seeking to broaden and update their knowledge regarding construction contracts. Students will have access to online teaching materials via course websites. Classes will be delivered by a team of experts comprising academics and practising construction lawyers/claims consultants. No prior qualifications are necessary to enrol. Nationwide enrolments are welcome.
Course content
The Professional Certificate in Construction Contract Management comprises two courses:
- Construction Contract Management: Procurement, Payment & Time
- Construction Contract Management: Performance, Quality & Disputes

Assessment
Assessment will consist of a mid-semester online quiz, 2000-word case study assignment and an end of semester online exam.
