Study Period 5 2025 (Wednesday 30 July to Wednesday 5 November 2025), from 4:10pm to 7pm.

No prior qualifications are necessary to enrol.
FEES
$2,500.00 per course x 2 courses = Total $5,000.00
Fees are GST free.
These courses are not government supported and must be paid in full prior to beginning the course.
Payment should be completed at least two weeks prior the beginning of the course to secure enrolment.

Course overview
This professional certificate equips students with contractual and legal knowledge essential for the effective commercial management of construction projects.
It is ideal for construction professionals working for client, contractor, and consultant organisations (including architects, engineers, quantity surveyors, contract administrators and construction managers) who are embarking on their careers in the construction industry, or those seeking to broaden and update their knowledge regarding construction contracts. Topics covered in the professional certificate include construction project procurement, introduction to forms of construction contract conditions, tendering & contract formation, payment, time, variations, performance security, subcontracting, defective works, termination of contract, insolvency, claims and dispute resolution.
Students will have access to online teaching materials via course websites. Classes will be delivered by a team of experts comprising academics and practising construction lawyers/claims consultants. No prior qualifications are necessary to enrol. Nationwide enrolments are welcome.
The completion of both courses is mandatory to obtain the Professional Certificate in Construction Contract Management.
Course content
The Professional Certificate in Construction Contract Management comprises two courses:
- Construction Contract Management: Procurement, Payment & Time
- Construction Contract Management: Performance, Quality & Disputes

- Indemnities & insurances

- Contract termination
- Insolvency
- Claims and dispute resolution
Assessment
Assessment will consist of a mid-semester online quiz, 2000-word case study assignment and an end of semester online exam.
Course Schedules
Students have the option to either attend the classes in person or watch a livestream of the in-person class offsite as it takes place via Zoom. During the livestream, students will be able to participate and ask questions. Classes are delivered in seminar format with a combination of lectures and tutorials. Links to the weekly Zoom classes will be posted on the course website at the beginning of each study period. Class recordings will be posted on the course website within 2 days of the class delivery.
