The Graduate Certificate in Social and Digital Media Management (18 units) comprises the core (4.5 units) and 3 specialist courses (4.5 units each).
The core, Communication, Media and Creative Industries, provides students with an integrated approach to the creative industries sector. The course interrogates the disruptive digital technologies transforming society and the dynamic role that creative industries have in navigating these challenges.
The specialist courses in the Graduate Certificate in Social and Digital Media Management offer student's complementary knowledge and skills in social and digital media management for retraining or career advancement. Social Media Management provides students with the principles and techniques of social media management, online engagement and collaboration. Managing Digital Design provides students with theoretical principles and design conventions of digital and traditional communication platforms. Industry 4.0 and Society provides students with a theoretical grounding in many disruptive digital technologies and includes topics such as big data, investigative journalism and automation in the workplace. Students not only learn theories and strategies but engage in content development by producing deliverables for industry partners.
