Aim

This program is designed to provide expertise knowledge and skills in the main areas of operational and strategic human resource management practice.

Content & Structure

To qualify for the award students must complete 54 units, made up of six Human Resource Management specialisation courses, four program core courses and two UniSA Business electives to make a total of twelve courses. The program is also available for part time study.

Professional accreditation and recognition

This program has met the criteria for course accreditation and is currently accredited by the Australian HR Institute (AHRI). Accreditation is reviewed every three years by the AHRI National Accreditation Committee. Students applying for this course can be assured that the quality of core units map onto the AHRI Model of Excellence for HR Practitioners and Academics, a recognised benchmark of HR best practice and standards. All graduates of the Master qualification who meet the requisite work experience requirements will be eligible for direct entry into the Unit 4 Capstone: Applied Project in Organisational Capability of the AHRI Practising Certification (APC) Program. Candidates who have successfully completed the Capstone project will be awarded HR certification by AHRI and be recognised as Certified Practitioners HR (CPHR).
