1. Credit to a maximum of 18 units will be given to students who have completed a Graduate Certificate in Engineering (LCEE) program at UniSA.
2. Credit to a maximum of 36 units will be given to students who have completed a Graduate Diploma in Engineering (LGEE) program at UniSA.
3. Credit may be given to students who completed postgraduate level courses in addition to their undergraduate study, subject to the approval of the Program Director. Such credit will not be granted for more than one third of the total units of the program.
4. Where there is significant overlap of contents between courses offered as part of Masters of Engineering and courses completed as part of undergraduate study, students are required to enrol in courses that have no such overlap.
1. Upon successful completion of 8 courses (36 units) from the Master of Engineering schedule, students may elect to exit with a Graduate Diploma in Engineering degree.
2. Upon successful completion of 4 courses (18 units) from the Master of Engineering schedule, students may elect to exit with a Graduate Certificate in Engineering degree.
3. The Graduate Diploma in Professional Practice (Computer Systems Engineering) provides a pathway for subsequent entry to this program and both awards can be completed in two years of full time study or part time equivalent.
4. Courses selected by a student must form a coherent discipline stream subject to the approval of the Program Director.
5. Engineering Research Practice is a compulsory course for students who will undertake Engineering Minor Thesis 1 & 2. Students not undertaking Engineering Minor Thesis 1 & 2 may choose any course listed in the Program Schedule of Courses. Eligible students for the Engineering Minor Thesis will be identified and notified after the first study period by the Program Director. Subject to approval of the Program Director, students will normally be eligible to enrol in Minor Thesis 1 & 2 subject to achieving a Grade Point Average of 5.5.
6. In justified cases, and subject to the approval from the Program Director, students may be permitted to enrol in courses offered as part of other programs, e.g. LMST ¿ Master of Engineering (Systems Engineering) or (Test and Evaluation).
7. Not all courses will be available in all study periods.
