Aim

The Graduate Certificate in Engineering (Civil) aims to provide graduates and current practioners with the required level of knowledge and skills in Civil Engineering to enable them to undertake further study at Master's level.

Content & Structure

The program requires completion of 9 units of core courses and 9 units of elective courses in Civil Engineering. On completion of these courses students should be able to:

  • Apply and synthesise civil engineering theories in solving practical cases
  • Adapt civil engineering data analysis and modelling methods to solve a range of practical problems in civil engineering
  • Develop skills required for critical review of current knowledge and understanding of research methodologies
  • Develop advanced skills to communicate with civil engineering and related professionals
