Aim

To develop students' ability to undertake informed and critical analysis of theory and specialist practice in international relations, world politics and comparative cross-cultural studies.

Content & Structure

To qualify for the Graduate Diploma, students must complete 36 units of approved postgraduate courses.

Rules

1. In accordance with University policy, students may be granted credit transfer up to a maximum of 9 units for a 36 unit graduate diploma.

2. In accordance with established practice, credit for successful completion of the common approved courses which constitute the nested Graduate Diploma in International Studies and the coursework for the Master of International Studies shall be transferable between the two programs.

Notes

1. To qualify for the Graduate Diploma, students must complete eight of the listed International Studies postgraduate courses. Not more than two other courses (total of 9 units) may be substituted for those listed, with the approval of the Program Director.

2. Not all courses will be available every year.
