Aim

The leisure industries (sport, recreation, tourism, arts) are dynamic, growing and global. The increased professionalism and growth in these industries means that continuing employment options for graduates exist in an enormous range of areas. The Bachelor of Sport and Recreation Management program will provide students with the skills, knowledge and qualities to work in a wide range of areas. These include sport management, event management, leisure management, recreation planning, outdoor recreation and tourism.

Content & Structure

Courses in the program include the philosophy of leisure, leadership in sport and recreation, sport governance, facilities management, programming and event management, sport and recreation administration, marketing, economics and law, strategic management, research and evaluation.
