Entry requirements
Applicants are required to have completed one of the following qualifications:- 3 year undergraduate degree plus honours in a recommended field *(Australian or equivalent)
- It is assumed that all applicants will have a demonstrated background in mathematics (i.e. at least equivalent to year 12 mathematics (e.g. Mathematical Studies in South Australia). Course prerequisites indicate where a higher level of mathematical ability is required.
*Engineering and Science are considered as recommended fields.
** Professionals with extensive experience working in the water industry who do not meet the academic requirements may be eligible for entry to the Graduate Certificate in Water Resources Management.It is assumed that all applicants will have a demonstrated background in mathematics (i.e. at least equivalent to year 12 mathematics (e.g. Mathematical Studies in South Australia). English language entry requirements
In addition, international students who speak English as a foreign language must have obtained one of the following standards within the last two years prior to admission. Possession of one or more of these qualifications, in addition to the academic entry requirements, does not, in itself, guarantee a place at the University of South Australia. Applications are considered on an individual basis and selection is competitive. Aim
The program is designed to provide students with an opportunity to increase their breadth and depth of knowledge and application of skills in the area of water resources management. The wide variety of specialised coursework electives and study options enable students to create a program of study that meets their individual needs. Study options include further coursework, a research project or an industry project. The industry project has been designed to assist students in becoming professionally aware through quality interaction with industry leaders.
Content & Structure
To be eligible for the degree students are required to complete a total of 18 units of core courses.
