Hair Simulation

Course aim

To enable students to simulate hair and fur using industry standard software and systems.

Course content

Throughout this course, and building on their knowledge in Shot Finalling, students will learn how to use industry-standard hair simulation tools to apply physical properties to hair, including length, thickness, and stiffness. The course covers topics such as hair dynamics and constraints, which enable students to achieve realistic movement and interaction with the environment. By the end of the course, students will have acquired the skills required to produce industry standard hair simulations suitable for film, television, video games, and other media.
