Course aim

This course provides students with theoretical knowledge and practical skills related to strategic thinking, strategy development, and executive leadership to manage people and organisational change. Upon completing this course, students will demonstrate principles and methods of evidence-based executive decision-making and effective strategy formulation for improved impact on business processes, human capital, and organisational growth.

Course content

Strategic management models and concepts: strategic analysis; competitive advantage; putting strategy into action; strategy in defence and space industries, the government sector, and not-for-profits.

Executive leadership & people management: Management evidence on leadership effectiveness; team dynamics; team leadership; hierarchy, organisational structures and cultural change.
