Course aim

To provide students with knowledge of the key principles, concepts, and tools of corporate finance, and their application, equipping them for roles as decision makers in defence and space industry financing, investment, and project risk management.

Course content

This course covers economic and financial management methodologies and their application to real life scenarios in the defence/space and related corporate sectors including: international financial market analysis; time value of money and discounted cash flow techniques; capital budgeting methodologies; risk and required rates of return; debt and equity valuation; capital structure; debt capacity; project risk evaluation and cost of capital; advanced capital budgeting, real option concepts, and analysis.
