Course aim

To provide a general understanding of Information and Communications Technology (ICT), and to develop skills in the use of software, focusing on obtaining relevant skills for students to use ICT effectively during their studies at the university and in future workplaces.

Course content

The course will cover Information and Communications Technology (ICT) used in university study and the workplace, focusing on Microsoft 365 applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook. The course will develop skills in digital communications and presentation, in document layout and page design, and in data organisation. In addition, the course will cover the ethical use and impact of computer technologies.
