Course aim

To introduce the skills, learning strategies and habits of mind to students new to a university environment for success in their future Bachelor level studies. This course will also support students to build a study and career plan for their future.

Course content

This course prepares students for university study by developing self-directed, independent learning skills relevant to the contemporary university environment. Students will create a personal toolkit of effective learning strategies by engaging in individual and group-based activities to build reading comprehension, academic and information literacy skills as well as exploring future study and career pathways.
