Course aim

To broaden students’ knowledge of factors affecting the overall health and well-being, and management of a patient, including aspects of ethnicity and culture, age and socioeconomic factors.

Course content

Rural Health; Aboriginal and Torres Strait islander health and Cultural Safety; Gerontology; Mental health conditions and managing patients with mental health concerns; Radiology and other medical imaging; Application of exercise physiology principles to patient management; Exercise management; Introduction to orthotic materials; Negative casting.
