Course aim

The aim of this course is to provide students with an innovative in situ approach to learning that incorporates real world experiential learning aligned with insights into contemporary Aboriginal business. The course will show students approaches to business skills and activities relevant now and in the future from Aboriginal perspectives. A key value of this course is demonstrating the approach of looking locally for ingenuity and skills to support local economies and regions and equity of our citizens.

Course content

Focus on Aboriginal business context including history and strengths driven perspectives of futures, internal structures and Indigenous business theory, external tools, unique markets and challenges. Discuss and appraise the relationship between challenges, strengths, tools and context for Aboriginal businesses.
