For preservice teachers to develop their knowledge and skills to engage children in democratic inquiry-based pedagogies and pedagogical documentation, whilst working as a member of a teaching team in an early years context.
Preservice teachers will focus on the role of the teacher in an early years context and apply an advanced body of knowledge of contemporary theories and practice as they engage with curriculum documents, children, families, and educators to implement democratic inquiry-based pedagogies in an early years setting.
Students who have previously completed placement days as part of a previous ITE program prior to enrolling in this course may be required to complete fewer placement days. Students should contact the Program Director prior to enrolling.
