Course aim

To deepen mathematical thinking and problem-solving skills in pre-service teachers, and to build their capacity to foster a climate of mathematical exploration for all learners.

Course content

Students will learn and apply strategies for thinking and working mathematically, both for themselves and in planning for learning. They will use a range of techniques to communicate their mathematical thinking and to facilitate mathematical discourse. Students will deepen their appreciation of mathematics as a creative discipline.
