Course aim

To develop the skills and knowledge to analyse, implement, and manage information resources and platforms in libraries to support researchers and scholarly authors. 

Course content

Framework of influences on library role in supporting scholarly communications, research models and Indigenous peoples, the scholarly publishing cycle, scholarly publishing licensing models, open licensing, Open Access, copyright in relation to scholarly publishing, bibliometrics and altmetrics, contributing to existing library communities of practice about scholarly communications and keeping knowledge current, collections access to support research, teaching and learning, providing scholarly platforms, Research Data Management, OER, research repositories, industry developed behavioural skills for supporting scholarly communications and library strategic responses to future scenarios in scholarly communications.
