Students will evaluate integrated learning approaches suitable for use in middle to senior years and investigate the ways in which integrated teaching is applied within vocational education programs in secondary schools.
Students will explore and critically appraise contemporary developments in integrated learning and teaching, and how these can be applied to deliver secondary curriculum and vocational education. Students will investigate the pedagogical approach and design features of integrated teaching, and how it generates diverse learning communities and opportunities within and beyond school sites. Students will review how integrated teaching approaches inform and structure vocational education programs, exploring student engagement, benefits and challenges.
