This course will provide students with an overview of the overall business context, entrepreneurial ecosystem, and national innovation system of different Asian countries. This will provide the basis to link past to the future trajectories of entrepreneurial opportunities and strategies within different contexts found in various Asian countries.
Note: The major Asian countries that are focused on are China, India, Japan, South Korea and Singapore.
Overview of entrepreneurship in Asia; evolution of social-cultural landscape and entrepreneurship in cultural industry; socio-economic progression and entrepreneurial strategies for social impact; entrepreneurial ecosystem and national innovation system; entrepreneurial and growth strategies in new age technology industry; entrepreneurship in traditional sectors; and EMNEs and their global aspirations.
