Professional nursing practice and role of the registered nurse; regulation, public safety; codes of conduct and ethics; NMBA RN standards for practice; scope of practice; responsibility and accountability; decision-making framework for nursing and midwifery; safety and quality in healthcare; National Safety and Quality Standards; Aged Care Quality Standards, professional legal and ethical frameworks e.g. Health Practitioner Regulation National Law; other relevant legislation; information, digital and mathematical literacies in the healthcare context, academic writing, critical thinking, evidence-based practice, reflective practice; person-centred nursing care; partnering with consumers; interdisciplinary teamwork; communication.
