This course introduces students to core theory, concepts and techniques within cinematography and editing in film and television production.
This course is an introduction to the key principles and techniques of cinematography and editing in film and television production. The course explores the art of visual storytelling and provides an overview of the theoretical and technical foundation of the effective use of cameras, lights and other tools to deliver narratives. Through lectures, practical exercises and assessment tasks, students are introduced to studio and location lighting, camera set up and operation, camera movement, visual storytelling, and screen editing.
