Course aim

This course will serve as an introduction to the role of analytics in the context of Human Resource Management in organisations. We will articulate key HR questions, apply analytics-based tools to analyse and evaluate information and create reports. We will also debate the ethical issues associated with the use and misuse of analytics and employee data and devise a strategy for applying HR analytics in the organisation.

Course content

Introduction to people analytics; identifying HR questions and metrics; refresher on statistics; analytics in the context of diversity; analytics in the context of employee engagement surveys; analytics in the context of employee turnover; analytics in the context of workforce planning; analytics in the context of employee performance; evaluating the impact of interventions; ethics of analytics and employee data; limitations and future of analytics.
