Course aim

To develop evidence-based assessment and management practices for clients requiring multimodal communication strategies and by using new technologies.

Course content

Develop students’ understanding of social, cultural, and international perspectives of disability or impairment that inhibits people’s ability to communicate through conventional means involving both spoken and written communication. Students will integrate the use of multimodal communication theories and technologies to inform assessment and treatment practice.
