Develop an understanding of the application of speech pathology theories and concepts in a professional practice setting.
This course supports students to develop the skills relevant to speech pathology practice, providing an introduction to the application of skills through simulated experiences which develop skills in interacting with clients. Students will also have the opportunity to complete an early intervention experience and observe a practicing Speech Pathologist. The introduction and use of the clinical portfolio allows students to link experiences to speech pathology competency standards and develop an understanding of the competencies required in developing clinical competence.
