Course aim

To provide students with the knowledge and practical skills required for designing, planning and managing health research and associated data.

Course content

The course will provide students with knowledge and practical skills related to health research planning and data management. It will include the introduction to the principles of research, formulating research proposal, quantitative and qualitative data collection methods, accessing publicly available data, sampling and sample size considerations, ethics, health data description and management using an appropriate statistical package.
